THIS WEEK

 

Tonight – Sunday Nights Together

We continue to gather in the sanctuary for Sunday Nights Together, a brief time of worship and teaching followed by a time of congregational prayer. These Sunday evenings will be a great way to end the Lord’s Day, and I hope you will make it a priority to be there. The topic on October 8 will be “Praying for Those Who Suffer”

 

  • Tuesday – WOM 10:30 with Lunch at 12 Noon
  • Wednesday – Morning Bible Study, Family Dinner, Prayer Meeting, Adult Choir
  • Wednesday – NO KidSing or AWANA
  • Thursday – Senior Adult Choir Practice at 10 am

 

 

 

UPCOMING

 

Wednesday

—FALL BREAK is this week, so on Oct. 11 there will be NO Kidsing AWANA, or YOUTH. All other events and services are as normal. On Oct. 18th all youth and Children’s programs will resume.

 

Fall Festival

FBC Fall Festival will be held on Sunday, October 29 from 4 – 6 PM. This family event will in-clude games, booths, inflatables, a climbing wall and

 

The Ladies of Lee

will be leading us in worship during the Sunday morning service on October 29.

 

Senior Adult Luncheon

Come join us on Tues. Nov. 17 at noon for food, fellowship, and entertainment by the East Athens quartet. The cost is $5 and a sign up sheet is in the Atrium.

 

Sr. Adult Christmas Trip

Opryland Country Christmas, Opryland Hotel, December 4-5. Cost is $220.00 per person, 2 people per room. Includes room, breakfast, show, delta river flatboat, taxes and fees. $100.00

 

Women’s Painting Event

A Women’s Painting Will be offered on Friday, Oct. 27 from 5:30 –9PM. The class is open to 7th grade girls up to any age! Step by step instructions on painting on canvas will be  taught by Misty of Creator’s Canvas. Cost is $30, which is due by Oct. 22. Sign up in the Atrium or at creatorscanvas.com. Space is limited.

 

Operation Christmas Child

Empty OCC shoeboxes will be available in the Atrium next Sunday. A list of suggested items and stickers for the boxes are in the Atrium. A shipping cost of $9.00 needs to be placed in each unsealed box. Deadline for bringing filled boxes to FBC is Nov. 19. There will be no packing party but if you have items to donate, place them in the Atrium and they will be included in other boxes.

 

International Friends

International Friends will meet on October 19th at 10:30AM in the FBC parking lot.
