The Youth Ministry of First Baptist Athens seeks to

partner with parents to raise teenagers who know, love, and serve Jesus.

Our goal is to encourage teens to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ, as they grow in relationship with one another. How do we hope to do this? We seek first to develop creative worship experiences in which
teens encounter God. We also desire to equip and inspire parents as they seek to raise Godly teenagers. Our focus is on spiritual transformation and character development
rather than behavior modification. We encourage teens to live out their faith through service in both their church and communities.

First Baptist Athens is committed to providing a biblically based, vibrant ministry to our students.  Currently our youth ministry is active in holding regular services each week specifically for Middle and High School students.  That is in addition to our regular Sunday morning service and an age graded bible study during Sunday School.

In addition special mission projects, retreats, camps, other activities important to Christian maturity are planned on a regular basis.  Our youth have

many opportunities to grow and serve.

We encourage them to be leaders making a difference for Christ.
