Today’s Sermon:

The Joy of Being Found: Prodigal

Luke 15:11-32

by:  Dr. Bill Henard

1.      You Can Be Lost and Know that You are Lost.

a.      11He also said: “A man had two sons. 12The younger of them said to his father

2.      Although God Searches for You, He Also Lets You Go.

a.      12 So he distributed the assets to them

3.      You Can Be Very Close to God, Yet Still Be Very Far Away.

a.      28 Then he became angry anddidn’t want to go in.

4.      Although You Are Away from God, His Forgiveness is Still Available.

a.      20But while the son was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion

Takeaway: Sometimes we become prodigals. We step away from God. We are lost, know that we are lost, and the good news – we know what to do. If you are a prodigal and you are away from God, come back home. The Father is waiting.
