Vision Sunday

Romans 12:1-2

God has a plan for your life – and God has a plan for our church. That’s what today is about. It’s about looking at what God says for our church and accepting the challenge of God’s vision for us.

 

  1. Surrender Fully to the Lordship of Christ in Everything.

 

  • 12:1 Therefore, brothers and sisters, in view of the mercies of God, I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice

 

  1. Think Like Christ, not Like the World.

 

  • 12:2 Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God

  • If you would like to attend the Tennessee Men’s and Women’s Chorus concert on November 18th, please sign up at the Welcome Center. The concert will be at Valley Grove Baptist Church in Knoxville. We will leave FBCA at 4:45 pm and return around 10:15 pm.

 

 

  • Hanging of the Greens Decoration day will be Tuesday, November 19th at 9 am. Lunch will be provided. If you would like to help, a sign-up sheet is in the Welcome Center.

 

 

  • There will be a Special Called Business Meeting on Wednesday, November 20th at 6 pm to update a ministry job description.

 

 

  • International Friends December Progressive Lunch-we need three houses to host for our progressive lunch. We bring the food and supplies. Please see Mandy Robertson or Pam McAchren for more information or questions.
