Jane S.’s Story

amazinggrace-p1 (Custom)What was your life like before you met Christ? *

I cannot remember a time in my life that I did not love God. I remember being in church singing ” Into my heart Lord Jesus ,come into my heart Lord Jesus , come in today come in to stay, come in to my heart Lord Jesus.” I did not love Him to get saved I just loved the Lord. I love the Bible. I have read the KJV ,NIV, The Message, The Jewish Bible, The Catholic Bible, The Chronological Bible, and the original 1611 Bible with all the extra books that they were taken out years latter.

What I did not have was faith. Jesus said a lot about faith , the greatest faith He said in Israel was a centurion who knew that Jesus could heal his child but also knew he was not worthy for Jesus to come into his home. I could not say to God , I know you will protect me for I was not being protected, I could not say You will keep me from being hurt for I was hurting.

Just like a cloud lifting ,the unbelief was lifted, for I knew I did not have to believe that God would protect me, I did not have to believe God would keep me from hurting, what I had to believe that GOD IS WHO HE SAID HE IS. But the Devil believes that God is God. Simon the sorcerer , is a man in Acts 8 that believed but did not believe unto righteousness for the Bible says “your heart is not right with God” because of money, Cornelius is another man in the Bible who had a heart unto righteousness but not faith. Peter said “he that feareth God and worketh righteousness is accepted of Him. ” Neither were on their way to eternal life. It takes both: a head knowledge and a heart knowledge A head knowledge to believe He is who He said He is,and a heart knowledge to be born again, dead to self, changed.
Romans 10:9&10

How did you come to Christ? * That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shalt believe in thine heart that God has raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

What is your life like now in Christ? * God is good all the time
