Weekly Update 11.3.20
Happy Election Day everyone!
First, I hope you all have either already voted or headed to the polls today to cast your vote. This is an important time for us all to participate. I encourage you to get out there and express your opinion with your vote.
Second, we have some great opportunities headed your way.
Sunday school training is happening this Sunday, Nov 8th following Sunday school. Lunch will be served so please RSVP to joe@fbcathens.com. We will cover how to compile your lesson and deliver it with confidence. If you are teaching, assistant teaching or interested in teaching in the future, you need to be here for this session. We should be finished around or before 2 pm.
Thanksgiving Dinner for our church family will be Sunday night, Nov 22nd at 5 pm. We are opening up the Annex, Fellowship Hall, and Youth room for distancing efforts. Come with your family and fellowship as we give thanks together for what the Lord has and is doing!
Operation Christmas Child is in full swing. You can pick up your box (or boxes) from the church to begin filling them. Remember, the Gospel message goes all across the world to children with this outreach. It's also a great project to work on as a family. Learning to be generous givers is a good thing in God's Kingdom.
Finally, we are praying for all of you! God is bring people to FBC each week that need the hope of Christ. I have interacted with new folks weekly that are searching for where the Lord would have them serve. Pray for them as well during this season. I am so excited about what God is doing here! I hope you are also.
