Missions are fundamental to who we are at First Baptist Athens. We are committed to supporting the Cooperative Program (a Southern Baptist entity) which, along with other Baptist churches, provides support to over 10,000 missionaries around the world and here at home. FBCA is committed to the spreading the gospel to the ends of the earth.

Here is how you can be involved:

In 2019, FBC Athens is planning to send on mission in 4 distinct locations

In Honduras, we will be working with a  local church pastor and helping in the community through construction and ministry at an orphanage. In New York City, we will be engaging with immigrants through English as a Second Language classes. These courses offer prime opportunities to share the gospel with people who have never heard it before. In Victoria, British Columbia, we will be serving alongside a church planter and helping him run a children’s camp as an outreach tool in their community. In Boston, we will be helping provide a Vacation Bible School to a new church plant that has started in the past year.

Our first Evangelism Training Class series will be from February 3rd to March 3rd. These classes are required for each person who is going on a mission trip this year.
