Reaching the Nations

At FBC Athens, we are an evangelical church with a Great Commission focus. We are steadfast in our commitment to train and send missionaries from our church community. Additionally, we actively participate in supporting NAMB and IMB missionaries through faithful contributions to the Cooperative Program. We are seeking further partnerships with SBC missionaries and church planters all over the world.

And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. - Matthew 28:18-20

Previously, our church engaged in sharing the gospel in various locations such as Boston, New York City, Vancouver, Italy, & Honduras. More recently, our congregation sent a missions team to Zambia and actively participated in the McMinn-Meigs Baptist Association's Bible translation project for the Zoara people of Madagascar. We are eagerly anticipating how God will continue to use our congregation in the future!
