200 YEARS IN THE HEART OF ATHENS
First Baptist Church of Athens has stood in the heart of Athens, TN for over 200 years. While the church building and steeple are prominently seen overlooking downtown Athens, the church is much more than a building. First Baptist Athens is ultimately a body of Christ followers who have joined together as they seek to Love God, Love People, and Make Disciples.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
Our sole authority is the Bible. Through His Word God has granted to us all things pertaining to life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3). The Scriptures serve as the basis of all belief and practice and are the final arbiter on these matters.
